The Axis Communications F44 Dual Audio Input Main Unit is a rugged and feature-rich solution for multi-view surveillance, supporting up to four AXIS F Sensor Units for surveillance of four closely situated areas. This cost-effective solution enables simultaneous streaming of views from four different areas through one Ethernet port, reducing the need for multiple network cameras and lowering costs for network switches and license fees.
Flexible Installation Options
The main unit can be installed in a sheltered area, while the sensor units can be placed in tight places indoors or outdoors up to 8, 12 or 15 m (26, 39 or 49 ft.) away, depending on the sensor unit and if a cable accessory is supported. The unit has been designed for easy installation in cabinets and small enclosures, with all connectors placed on one side of the unit.
High-Performance Features
The Axis Communications F44 Dual Audio Input Main Unit supports two full-sized SD cards for local storage of recordings, and each channel supports a 1080p or 720p capture mode and multiple, individually configurable streams. It also features WDR – Forensic Capture, which enables a high level of detail to be visible in both very bright and dark areas of a scene.
Advanced Video Capabilities
The Axis Communications F44 Dual Audio Input Main Unit offers Axis’ Zipstream technology, which lowers bandwidth and storage use by an average of 50% or more for many surveillance scenarios. It also supports two-way audio, as well as two microphones when using the included AXIS Stereo-to-mono Adapter.
Intelligent Video Capabilities
The Axis Communications F44 Dual Audio Input Main Unit features intelligent video capabilities, including video motion detection, active tampering alarm, and downloadable applications through the AXIS Camera Application Platform. It can be powered using Power over Ethernet or DC power.
